Dave hails from Wanlockhead in Scotland and describes himself as 'the left-handed, balding, middle-aged, songwriting folkie from Scotland's highest village', but there's much more to him than that. He is a superb guitarist with a very distinctive and effective style, a voice that can carry traditional and contemporary songs and songwriting ability that produces songs ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous. These attributes have established Dave as an accepted talent throughout the acoustic folk club, festival and concert scene. He is a storyteller and a troubador and draws on many sources, especially the finger picking styles of his heroes, Paul Simon, Richard Thompson, Bert Jansch and many more. Great music but he certainly likes to have a giggle with his audience as well!
